Deva, also known as Devanesan Chokkalingam, was born on November 20, 1950, in Tamil Nadu, India. He is a well-known composer and singer in South Indian films. Deva’s well-known songs include “Vetri Kodi Kattu” from “Padayappa,” which celebrates victory, “Aasai Aasai” from “Dhool,” an energetic and captivating song, and “O Maria” from “Kadhalar Dhinam,” which mixes modern and classical music beautifully. His career, which has lasted more than 36 years, includes composing music for over 400 films in Tamil, Kannada, Telugu, and Malayalam. Some of his popular songs are from the movies “Padayappa,” “Dhool,” and “Kadhalar Dhinam.” He’s earned the nickname “thenisai thendral,” translating to “the breeze of sweet music,” for his contributions to the music industry.
