Notably, Jagjit Kaur’s voice graced the soundtracks of films like “Shagoon” (1964), “Bazaar” (1982), and the critically acclaimed “Umrao Jaan” (1981). Some of her most memorable songs include “Tum apna ranj-o-gham” from “Shagoon,” “Dekh lo aaj hum ko jee bhar ke” from “Bazaar,” and the heart-wrenching “Kaahe ko byahi bides” from “Umrao Jaan.” Jagjit Kaur’s contributions to music were recognized with several awards.
