Kirtidan Gadhvi, a well-known name in the Gujarati music scene, was born on February 23, 1975, in Valvod, Gujarat. A gifted vocalist and harmonium player, Gadhvi has significantly contributed to the Gujarati folk, dayras, and classical music domains. His education in music, earning a BPA and MPA from the Faculty of Performing Arts at M.S. University, Vadodara, laid a solid foundation for his illustrious career. Notably, his performance of “Laadki” on MTV Coke Studio alongside Sachin–Jigar, Tanishka Sanghvi, and Rekha Bhardwaj in April 2015, catapulted him into national fame. His other famous songs include “Nagar Me Jogi Aaya” and “Gori Radha Ne Kaalo Kaan“. Gadhvi’s contributions to music have earned him prestigious accolades like the “World Amazing Talent” Award in the US and the Kavi Kag Award in 2019.
