Lucky Ali, born Maqsood Mahmood Ali on 19 September 1958 in Mumbai, is a celebrated Indian singer, songwriter, and actor. He became a popular figure in Indipop during the 1990s with his soulful music and diverse voice. His album “Sunoh” grew him to fame, earning him awards like the Best Pop Male Vocalist at the 1996 Screen Awards and the Channel V Viewers Choice Award in 1997. Among his famous songs are “O Sanam” from “Sunoh,” “Ek Pal Ka Jeena,” and “Na Tum Jaano Na Hum” from the movie “Kaho Naa… Pyaar Hai.” Lucky Ali’s contributions to music were recognized with the Filmfare Award for Best Male Playback Singer in 2001 for “Ek Pal Ka Jeena”.
