She was a renowned playback singer in the Indian film industry, particularly known for her work in Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, and Malayalam cinema. Jikki’s career began as a child artist in 1943, and she quickly became a household name with her melodious voice and versatile singing style. Some of her popular songs include “Ravoyi Chandamama,” “Nadarmudi Melirukkum,” “Tu Mrig Naini Madhubaini” and “Din Control Ke Aaye.” She collaborated with many legendary music directors like Balkrishna Kalla and Emani Sankara Sastry and sang alongside famous co-singers such as Ghantasala and P.
