Richa Sharma, born on August 29, 1974, in Faridabad, Haryana, is a renowned Indian playback and devotional singer known for her powerful and emotive voice. She embarked on her musical journey with devotional songs, and after gaining popularity in local events, she moved to Mumbai in 1994 to pursue a career in Bollywood. Richa made her debut in 1996 with the song “Mohabbat Aisi Mehndi Hai” from the film “Salma Pe Dil Aa Gaya.” Some of her most famous songs include “Sajdaa” from “My Name is Khan,” “Mirza” from “Maidaan,” and “Naram Kaalja,” a notably long track from “Amar Singh Chamkila,” which stands out as Bollywood’s longest song performed without an orchestra.
