Runa Laila, born on November 17, 1952, in Sylhet, East Bengal (now Bangladesh), embarked on her musical journey in the late 1960s in the Pakistani film industry. Laila’s versatility spans multiple genres including Ghazal, Filmi, Pop, Fusion, and Sufi, all of which have been embraced by audiences in Bangladesh, India, and Pakistan​.
