Sangtar Singh Heer, renowned as Sangtar, is a prolific figure in the Punjabi music scene, born on October 9, 1970, in Halluwal, Punjab, India. Beginning on his musical journey in 1987 with poetry and songwriting, he further expanded his talents to composing and producing music from 1993 and ventured into singing in 2009. Sangtar notable songs include “Jari Jang Rakheyo” and “Muthian Vich” working with notable artists like Kamal Heer and Manmohan Waris. His contributions have earned him recognition, such as winning the Album of the Year in 2006 for “Punjabi Virsa 2006” and being nominated for Best Non-Resident Punjabi Music Director in 2009 and 2010.
