Shail Hada, born on April 11, 1975, in Kota, Rajasthan, is a distinguished Indian playback singer with a rich background in Hindustani Classical music, trained under the tutelage of his father and later at the University of Kota. His career took a significant turn when he began working with the acclaimed director Sanjay Leela Bhansali, starting with background vocals in “Black” and later achieving fame with his vocal contributions to the hit movie “Saawariya” (2007). His notable songs from the film, like the title track “Saawariya”, showcased his ability to blend classical techniques with contemporary sounds. Shail has been a consistent presence in Bhansali’s projects, contributing to the musical landscape of films like “Padmaavat” and “Guzaarish“, where his song “Tera Zikr Hai” fetched him the Stardust Award for New Sensation (Male) in 2011​.
