Sneha Khanwalkar, born on April 28, 1983, in Indore, Madhya Pradesh, is an illustrious Indian music director renowned for her unique soundtracks in Bollywood films. Her musical journey, deeply rooted in the Gwalior gharana of Hindustani classical music, began in her childhood, fostered by her family’s musical background. Her breakout came with the film “Oye Lucky! Lucky Oye!” (2008), where her travel through North India to gather authentic sounds greatly influenced the soundtrack. This was followed by her acclaimed work in Anurag Kashyap’s “Gangs of Wasseypur” (2012), both parts of which earned her nominations for the Best Music Director at the 58th Filmfare Awards​. Among her famous songs are “Taar Bijli” and “Kaala Re Saiyaan” from “Gangs of Wasseypur,” and the intense “Jugni” from “Oye Lucky! Lucky Oye!“.
