Srinivasan Doraiswamy, popularly known as Srinivas, is a distinguished Indian playback singer born on November 7, 1959, in Ambasamudram, Tamil Nadu. He has lent his voice to over 3000 songs across multiple Indian languages including Tamil, Malayalam, Telugu, Kannada, and Hindi, showcasing his versatility and broad appeal in the Indian music scene. Srinivas made a significant impact in the industry with his debut in the Tamil film “Prema Desham” with the song “Hello Doctor,” composed by the legendary A.R. Rahman. His collaboration with Rahman brought to life many memorable tracks such as “Idhudhaan En Kadhai” from “Galatta Kalyaanam” and “Chalke Re” from “Lingaa“. His notable awards include the Tamil Nadu State Film Award for Best Male Playback for “Minsara Kanavu” and the Filmfare Award for Best Male Playback Singer – Tamil for the song “En Uyire” in “Uyire.”
