Kalyanji Virji Shah, born on June 30, 1928, in Kundrodi, Kutch, Gujarat, was a renowned Indian music director. He, along with his brother Anandji, formed the famous composer duo Kalyanji-Anandji, creating memorable songs in Hindi cinema. One of their popular compositions is “Pal Pal Dil Ke Paas” from the film Blackmail (1973). In 1992, Kalyanji was honored with the Padma Shri for his contributions to music. He passed away on August 24, 2000, in Mumbai.
