Ahmed Hussain and Mohammed Hussain, two brothers from Jaipur, India, are well-known and popular for their contribution to ghazal singing. Born into a family of musicians, they began their career in 1958, earning the honor for blending classical ghazals, devotional music, and bhajans. Their journey in music led to the release of their first album “Guldasta” in 1980, marking the beginning of a successful career that spans decades, with around 50 studio albums to their credit. Some of his albums include Veer-Zara, Pyar Ka Jazba, and Shamakhana Vol. 2: A Live Mehfil Of Ghazals. They were honored with the Sangeet Natak Akademi Award in 2000 for their ghazal and devotional singing and were awarded the Padma Shri in 2023. Among their most notable works is their contribution is the soundtrack of “Veer-Zaara” (2004).
