Babbu Maan, whose real name is Tejinder Singh Maan, was born on March 29, 1975, in Khant Maanpur, Punjab, India. He started his music career in 1997 with the album “Sajjan Rumal De Geya.” However, he gained significant recognition with his 1999 release, “Tu Meri Miss India.” His music style includes Punjabi folk, bhangra, pop, and ghazals. Over the years, Maan has produced several hit albums like “Saaun Di Jhadi” in 2001 and “Talaash: In Search of Soul” in 2013, the latter reaching the top 10 on the Billboard World Albums chart. Among Babbu Maan’s notable tracks are “Dil Ta Pagal Hai” from “Saaun Di Jhadi,” and “Tralla” from the album “Talaash.” His work in film music includes successful soundtracks for Punjabi movies like “Hawayein” (2003) and Bollywood films such as “Vaada Raha” (2009). Maan’s profound impact on Punjabi music has been recognized with numerous awards, including the World Music Award for World’s Best Indian Male Artist in 2014, and the Daf BAMA Music Award in Germany in 2017.
