Daboo Malik, born Israr Sardar Malik on January 21, 1963, in Bombay, is a well-known Indian music director and composer. Despite initially pursuing a career in acting, Malik transitioned to music direction, following his father, Sardar Malik, a veteran music director. He began his music directing career with the album “Yeh Zindagi Ka Safar” in 2001 and gained significant recognition. Some of Daboo Malik’s most famous compositions include “Thoda Sa Pyaar Hua Hai” from “Maine Dil Tujhko Diya,” “Baarish” from “Hum Tumhare Hain Sanam,” and “Mujhse Shaadi Karogi” from the movie of the same name. Malik has composed music for Bollywood films such as Tumko Na Bhool Paayenge (2002), I Proud to Be an Indian (2004), Kissan (2009) and Girlfriend (2004). He won the Filmfare Award for Best Music Director for “Baarish” and the Zee Cine Award for Best Track of the Year for “Mujhse Shaadi Karogi.”
