Ehsaan Noorani was born on October 12, 1963, in Mumbai, Maharashtra. He is a well-known Indian composer and guitarist, widely recognized for his contribution to Bollywood music. Ehsaan began his music career by studying with Mr. Bismarck Rodrigues, a skilled guitar teacher from Mumbai, before furthering his education at the Musicians Institute in Hollywood, California. He has the distinction of being the first Indian guitarist to be by Fender guitars, boasting his own Squier signature model. Music Director Career: Ehsaan Noorani, alongside Shankar Mahadevan and Loy Mendonsa, forms the musical trio Shankar–Ehsaan–Loy. The turning point in his career came when he, along with Shankar and Loy, was chosen to compose music for the film “Dus” by Mukul S. Anand. His notable work includes “Kal Ho Naa Ho” from the movie “Kal Ho Naa Ho“, “Kajra Re” from “Bunty Aur Babli” and “Dil Chahta Hai” from “Dil Chahta Hai“. Notable Awards: As part of Shankar–Ehsaan–Loy, Ehsaan Noorani has received numerous awards, including The National Film Award for Best Music Direction for “Kal Ho Naa Ho” in 2004. The Filmfare Award for Best Music Director for “Kal Ho Naa Ho” in 2003 and again for “Bunty Aur Babli” in 2005​.
