Mehul Surti, born on November 16, 1977, in Surat, Gujarat, is a renowned music composer and singer primarily known for his significant contributions to Gujarati cinema and theatre. Beginning his career in 1999, Surti has been instrumental in shaping the soundscape of regional films. His early training in Kirana and Mewati gharanas of classical music has profoundly influenced his musical style, allowing him to infuse traditional elements with modern. Some of Mehul Surti’s most famous compositions include the songs from “Kevi Rite Jaish” (2012), “Vitamin She” (2017) and “Montu Ni Bittu” (2019). His work in “Hellaro” (2019), a National Film Award-winning film, won him awards for Best Music Director at the Gujarat State Film Awards. Mehul Surti has received several prestigious awards, underscoring his talent and dedication to music. He was honored with the Best Music Director at the 12th Transmedia Gujarati Screen & Stage Awards for his work in “Kevi Rite Jaish” and again at the 19th Transmedia Awards for “Montu Ni Bittu”.
