Mechery Louis Ouseppachan (September 13, 1955) from Ollur, Thrissur, Kerala, India began his career as a violinist and later became a well-known music director in the Malayalam film industry. His big break came with the film “Kathodu Kathoram” where his compositions gained significant acclaim, particularly for their innovative use of the violin, reflecting his mastery over the instrument. Over the years, Ouseppachan has composed music for over 120 films, crossing regional boundaries by working in Tamil and Hindi cinema as well. His contributions have been recognized with numerous awards, including a National Film Award and several state awards. Famous Songs Directed by him include “Pranayamani Thooval Pozhiyum” from “Kilukkam”, “Harimuraleeravam” from “Aaraam Thampuran” “Aaroral” from “Evidey” and “Gange” from “Vadakkumnathan”.
