Samar Puri is a talented musician who was born on June 2, 1987, in Muscat, Oman. He has always been passionate about music, starting from a young age when he began writing lyrics for songs. Samar is well-known for forming a pop band with his younger brother, Sanam Puri, and two other friends in 2010. Initially named ‘SQS Supastars,’ the band won the Times Music Pop Band Hunt and then moved to Mumbai to pursue their dreams. Their journey led them to rebrand as ‘SQS Project’ before finally being known as ‘Sanam’ in 2014​. Samar and his band have made significant strides in their music career, including promoting the Hollywood film Spider-Man 2 in India with the Hindi song “Main Hoon”. In 2016, as part of a project called Jammin, they collaborated with notable musicians like Clinton Cerejo and A R Rahman, releasing songs like “Inquilab Mera Khwab” and “Yaara”. They continued to gain recognition with their exclusive partnership with Channel V in 2017 through the project ‘Only On V. Some of the famous songs that Samar has contributed to include “Main Hoon” from The Amazing Spider-Man 2, as well as other tracks like “Hawa Hawa”, “Paa Hi Liya“, and “Itni Door” from their studio albums “Supastars”, “Samar Sanam”, and “Sanam Revolution” respectively. Their work on compilation albums such as “In Love With Sanam” and singles like “SANAM Mennu” and “Jaane De Mujhe.”
