Sardar Malik was a famous music director in India, born on January 13, 1930. He became known for his work in Hindi films, where he directed music for over 600 songs. Some of his most famous songs include those from the movies “Thokar” (1953), “Saranga” (1961), and “Bachpan” (1963). He was especially known for his music in “Saranga,” earning him the nickname Saranga man. Sardar Malik passed away at the age of 76 on January 27, 2006, following a lengthy illness.
