Shashwat Sachdev, born in Jaipur, Rajasthan, began his music career in Hollywood in 2011 before moving back to India in 2016. He got a chance in Bollywood with the film “Phillauri” in 2017, and he continued to gain recognition with his work in “Veere Di Wedding” in 2018 and was honored for “Uri: The Surgical Strike” in 2019, for which he won the National Film Award for Best Background Music. Some of Shashwat’s famous songs include “Dum Dum” from “Phillauri,” “Pappi Le Loon” from “Veere Di Wedding,” and “Challa (Main Lad Jaana)” from “Uri: The Surgical Strike.” He has been honored with the National Film Award for Best Music Direction for “Uri: The Surgical Strike” and the R.D. Burman Award at the 65th Filmfare Awards.
