Yuvan Shankar Raja, born on August 31, 1979, is a famous music director from Tamil Nadu, India. He started his music career very young, at just 16 years old, with the film “Aravindhan” in 1996. Over the years, Yuvan has become known for his unique style, mixing Western music like hip hop and jazz into Tamil cinema, earning him nicknames like the “BGM King” and the “Young Maestro.” His music is not just limited to Tamil movies; he has also worked in Telugu, Kannada, and Hindi films. Yuvan has made over 170 films more colorful with his music and has won numerous awards, including two Filmfare Awards South and a special award at the Cyprus International Film Festival for his soundtrack for the film “Raam”. Some of Yuvan’s most famous songs include “Rowdy Baby” from “Maari 2,” “Motha” from “Gangs Of Godavari,” and “Idhu Pola” from “Iraivan.” His soundtrack for “7G Rainbow Colony” not only won hearts but also earned him a Filmfare Award for Best Music Director – Tamil in 2004. Moreover, his work in “Oy!” received the Filmfare Special Award – South, highlighting his contribution to Telugu cinema as well.
