Aaroh, an alternative rock band originating from Karachi, Pakistan, was formed in 1998. The band, known for its electrifying live performances and thought-provoking lyrics, gained widespread recognition after winning the Pepsi Battle of the Bands in 2002. Their debut album “Sawaal” released in 2002, includes hits like “Sawaal,” “Na Kaho,” and “Jalan,” which topped local music charts. The follow-up album, “Raag Neela,” released in 2006, further solidified their status with tracks such as “Raag Neela” and “Pyaar Ka Jaal.” Aaroh has been acknowledged with nominations for “Best Band” at the ARY Asian/Bollywood Awards in 2004 and “Best Lyrics Award” for “Na Kaho” at the Indus Music Awards in 2005, showcasing their significant impact on the music industry.
