Jazzy B, born Jaswinder Singh Bains on April 1, 1975, in Nawanshahr, Punjab, India, is a renowned Canadian Punjabi singer and songwriter. His journey into the music world began with his family’s move to Surrey, British Columbia, Canada, at the age of five. Jazzy B’s musical career took off in 1993 with his debut album “Gugiyan Da Jora”. He is a fan of the late Kuldeep Manak and paid tribute to him in his 2011 album “Maharajas”. Over his career, Jazzy B has released 12 studio albums and two religious ones, collaborating on numerous tracks. He has made significant contributions to Punjabi music and has been a part of the film industry through various roles and soundtracks. His notable works include songs like “Dil Luteya” and he has contributed to film soundtracks such as “Gallan Kardi” for “Jawaani Jaaneman” and “Ajj Singh Garjega” for “Kesari“. Among his achievements, Jazzy B was the first South Asian entertainer to be inducted into the BC Entertainment Hall of Fame Star Walk in Vancouver.
