Krishnakumar Kunnath, famously known as KK, was a beloved Indian playback singer who left an indelible mark with his soulful voice from 1994 until his untimely demise in 2022. With a vast repertoire in languages like Hindi, Bengali, and Tamil, KK began his journey in music by singing jingles before making a breakthrough in films with A.R. Rahman compositions. His debut album “Pal” in 1999 included hits like “Yaaron,” setting the stage for a celebrated career featuring songs like “Tadap Tadap Ke” from “Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam‘ and “Aankhon Mein Teri” from “Om Shanti Om“. KK’s contribution was recognized with awards including the 2009 Screen Award for “Khuda Jaane” from “Bachna Ae Haseeno“.
