Mohammed Rafi, born on December 24, 1924, and passed away on July 31, 1980, was an iconic playback singer in Bollywood. He’s celebrated for his versatility across genres, recording songs for over a thousand Bollywood movies, including hits like “Chaudhvin Ka Chand Ho,” “Kya Hua Tera Wada,” and “Tum Jo Mil Gaye Ho.” Rafi won numerous awards, including six Filmfare Awards and the National Film Award for “Kya Hua Tera Wada.” His contributions were recognized posthumously with the Padma Shri by the Government of India.
