Ravindra Jain was an illustrious Indian music composer, lyricist, and playback singer, born on February 28, 1944, in Aligarh. His career spanned over four decades, starting in the early 1970s, during which he created music for several hit movies like “Chor Machaye Shor” (1974), “Geet Gaata Chal” (1975), and “Ram Teri Ganga Maili” (1985). Jain’s compositions, especially for “Ramayan” (1987), became iconic, and he was honored with the Padma Shri in 2015. Among his accolades, he received the Filmfare Best Music Director award for “Ram Teri Ganga Maili“.
