Hindi Neerja (2016)

Neerja is a 2016 Indian Hindi biographical thriller movie directed by Ram Madhvani and written by Saiwyn Quadras and Sanyuktha Chawla Shaikh. It was produced by Atul Kasbekar’s company, Bling Unplugged, alongside Fox Star Studios. Neerja is the story of the courageous Neerja Bhanot, who sacrificed her life while protecting the lives of 359 passengers on the Pan Am flight 73 in 1986. The flight was hijacked by a terrorist organization. The movie features Sonam Kapoor as the title character, with Shabana Azmi, Yogendra Tiku, and Shekhar Ravjiani in supporting roles. The film’s music is composed by Vishal Khurana with lyrics written by Prasoon Joshi. The movie was released on 19 February 2016.
