Bickram Ghosh, born on October 20, 1966, in Kolkata, West Bengal, is a well-known popular Indian classical tabla player. His music career became popular after working together with well-known artists like Ali Akbar Khan and Pandit Ravi Shankar, and the founding of his neo-fusion band, Rhythmscape, in 2001. His band won the Best Fusion Album at the Indian Recording Arts Awards in 2012. Bickram’s talent grows to composing music for films, notably working together with Sonu Nigam for the film “Jal” and scoring for Mira Nair’s “Little Zizou.” He has been honored with prestigious awards, including the Global Indian Music Academy (GIMA) Award in 2012 for his composition “Vande Mataram”.
