Deepak Dev, born on April 30, 1978, in Thalassery, Kerala, became famous for his music in Malayalam movies, starting with “Chronic Bachelor” in 2003. Inspired by filmmaker Siddique, he chose music as his career. Before his film debut, Deepak was deeply involved in music, playing in a college rock band and working with famous musicians like A.R. Rahman and Vidyasagar. Deepak Dev has directed music for many popular songs, including “Naran,” “Udayananu Tharam,” “Kaana Kuyile,” and “Puthiya Mukham.” Among his notable works, “Udayananu Tharam” earned him a Vanitha Film Award for Popular Song, and “Puthiya Mukham” brought him an Asianet Film Award for Best Music Director. Additionally, his composition for “Urumi” won the Kerala State Film Award for Best Background Score in 2011.
