Govind Vasantha, born on October 29, 1988, in Irinjalakuda, Thrissur, Kerala, is a well-known Indian composer, singer, and violinist. He has made significant contributions to the music industry, primarily in Malayalam and Tamil films. Govind is also a key member of the musical band Thaikkudam Bridge. His talent has earned him the prestigious Filmfare Award for Best Music Director – Tamil for his exceptional work in the film “96”. His father’s elder brother, a Carnatic musician, played a pivotal role in Govind’s early musical education at a very young age. Trying for equality and to remove caste bias, Govind adopted his mother’s name, Vasantha, as his surname. This change was not just a personal choice but a statement towards promoting equality. Some of his famous works include the movies Hey Sinamika, Onnam Loka Mahayudham, Fight Club, Ponmagal Vandhal, and Jo and Jo.
