Jaidev, born on August 3, 1918, in Nairobi, Kenya, and passed away on January 6, 1987, in Mumbai, India, was a famous music director in the Hindi film industry. Under the guidance of Ustad Ali Akbar Khan, he honed his skills with his work in films like “Hum Dono” (1961), “Reshma Aur Shera“, and “Gaman” (1978). Jaidev’s music director career was honored with three National Film Awards for Best Music Direction for his work in “Reshma Aur Shera” (1972), “Gaman” (1979), and “Ankahee” (1985). Among his famous songs are “Allah Tero Naam” and “Abhi Na Jao Chhodkar” from “Hum Dono”, and “Seene mein jalan” from “Gaman”. Jaidev won three National Film Awards for Best Music Direction. These were for his exceptional work in “Reshma Aur Shera” in 1972, “Gaman” in 1979, and “Ankahee” in 1985.
