Jal is a popular music band from Pakistan, formed in Lahore in 2002 by Goher Mumtaz and Atif Aslam, later joined by Farhan Saeed and other members over time. Initially, their music captured the heart of the youth with the unique mix of pop and rock elements. Jal gained fame with their song “Aadat” which became a hit in Pakistan and across South Asia. After Atif Aslam’s departure, Goher Mumtaz took over as the lead singer and continued to drive the band towards success. Some of their famous track includes “Aadat,” from the album “Aadat,” “Sajni,” from the album “Boondh,” and “Lamhay,” from “Aadat.” They were awarded the “Best Song” award for “Aadat” at the Lux Style Awards, which recognized their innovative musical direction and impact. Furthermore, “Sajni” secured them another Lux Style Award for “Best Music Video Director.”
