M. Jayachandran, born on June 14, 1971, in Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala, is a popular Indian composer, singer, and musician well known for his work in the Malayalam film industry. His career began in 1995 with the film “Chantha,” working as an independent music director. Over the years, he has been honored with the Kerala State Film Award for Best Music Director nine times. Among his most famous songs are “Kathirunnu Kathirunnu” from “Ennu Ninte Moideen,” for which he won the National Film Award for Best Music Direction in 2015, and “Melle Melle” from “Nottam,” which honored him with the Kerala State Film Award for Best Male Playback Singer in 2005. He was also honored and gained popularity and loved by people for his music for films like “Gaurisankaram,” “Pathonpatham Noottandu,” and “Perumazhakkalam.”
