Faakhir Mehmood, born on April 20, 1973, in Islamabad, Pakistan, is a renowned musician whose career began with the band Awaz in 1992. After the band split in 2000, he pursued a successful solo career, releasing albums such as “Aatish” (2002), “Sub Tun Sohniyeh” (2003), and “Mantra” (2005). His song “Mahi Ve” from “Mantra” received acclaim, winning two awards at India’s Sangeet Natak Akademi Awards. Faakhir has contributed to the Pakistani movie “Ho Mann Jahaan” (2015) and was a music director on “Coke Studio Pakistan” in 2016. His awards include the Pride of Performance Award by the President of Pakistan in 2007 and the Lux Style Award for Best Song “Kabhi Kabhi Pyar Mein“.
