Jassie Gill, born Jasdeep Singh Gill on 26 November 1988 in Jandali village near Khanna, Ludhiana, Punjab, is a celebrated figure in the Indian music and film industry. He began on his musical journey with the release of his first single “Batchmate” in 2011 and gained significant recognition with hits like “Lancer,” which accumulated over 4 million views early in his career. Over the years, Jassie Gill has become renowned for his tracks such as “Laden,” “Bapu Zimidar,” and “Guitar Sikhda,” blending traditional Punjabi beats with contemporary rhythms. His song “Bapu Zimidar,” released in 2014, became particularly popular, achieving over 577 million views on YouTube by February 2023​. Apart from music, Jassie Gill has also made his mark in acting, debuting in the Punjabi film industry with “Mr. & Mrs. 420” in 2014, which earned him the PTC Punjabi Film Award for Best Male Debut. His Bollywood debut came in 2018 with “Happy Phirr Bhag Jayegi.”
