Karthik, born on November 7, 1980, in Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India, is a renowned Indian playback singer and composer. With a career spanning over two decades, Karthik has lent his voice to over 1,000 songs across 10 Indian languages, including Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, Kannada, Odia, Bengali, Marathi, and Hindi. His musical journey began as a backup singer, leading to his breakthrough with A. R. Rahman‘s composition. Some of his most celebrated songs include “Oru Maalai” from “Ghajini” (2005), “Nijanga Nenenaa” from “Kotha Bangaru Lokam,” and “Behene De” from “Raavan” (2010), which is considered one of his career’s biggest hits.
