Singer Mahalakshmi Iyer

Mahalakshmi Iyer, a celebrated Indian playback singer, was born in Mumbai, Maharashtra. Known for her melodious voice, she has sung in a variety of Indian languages including Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Marathi, Bengali, Odia, Gujarati, Assamese, and Kannada, making significant contributions to the Indian music industry. Mahalakshmi embarked on her musical journey with formal training in Hindustani classical music under eminent gurus like Pandit Gautam Madhusudan, Pandit Ratan Mohan Sharma, and Pandit Govind Prasad Jaipurwale. She began her career with the film “Dus” in 1997, although the film was released later in 1999.
