Salim Merchant, born on 3 March 1975, is a prominent figure in the Indian music industry, renowned for his contributions as a singer, composer, and music director. He began on his musical voyage with his brother Sulaiman Merchant, and the duo has since become synonymous with innovative music in Bollywood. Over the years, Salim has lent his musical genius to numerous films, enriching the Indian cinema soundscape with an eclectic mix of sounds influenced by classical, folk, and electronic music styles.
