Mubarak Begum (1936–2016) was an Indian vocalist known for her playback singing in Bollywood during the 1950s and 1960s. She began her career with light music recitals for All India Radio and gained fame with “Kabhi Tanhaiyon Mein Yun” from “Hamari Yaad Aayegi” (1961). Despite her talent, Begum’s lack of business acumen meant she didn’t capitalize on her career, leading to financial difficulties in her later years.
