Dil Chahta Hai is a 2001 Indian Hindi-language coming-of-age film directed by Farhan Akhtar in his directorial debut. The movie stars Aamir Khan, Saif Ali Khan, and Akshaye Khanna as three inseparable friends navigating the transitions from youth to adulthood. Preity Zinta, Sonali Kulkarni, and Dimple Kapadia play the female leads, while the music direction is masterfully handled by Shankar–Ehsaan–Loy, marking their first collaboration with Farhan Akhtar. The lyrics were penned by Javed Akhtar, adding depth and emotion to the film’s soundtrack.
