The siblings were trained in the classical traditions of Hindustani music by Pt. Durga Das and Ustad Bade Ghulam Ali Khan, which greatly influenced their unique musical expressions. Their musical journey commenced with a notable debut on All India Radio in 1972, marking the beginning of a prolific career that brought the spiritual depth of Sufi traditions to the mainstream. The duo’s heartfelt renditions of works by Sufi poets like Bulleh Shah and Amir Khusro resonated deeply with audiences.
