Vijay Yesudas, born on 23 March 1979, is an Indian playback singer and actor, predominantly active in the South Indian film industry. With a career spanning over two decades, he has lent his voice to over 1000 film songs across various languages including Malayalam, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, and Hindi. Vijay, the son of legendary singer K.J. Yesudas, made his singing debut in 2000 with the Malayalam film “Millennium Stars.” He has received numerous accolades for his contribution to music, including three Kerala State Film Awards for Best Singer for his songs “Kolakkuzhal Vili Ketto” in “Nivedyam” (2007), “Akaleyo Nee” in “Grandmaster” and “Mazhakondu Mathram” in “Spirit” (2012), and “Poomuthole” in “Joseph” (2018), alongside five Filmfare Awards and four SIIMA Awards.
