Roshan Lal Nagrath, born on July 14, 1917, in Gujranwala, Punjab (now in Pakistan), was a celebrated Indian music director. He studied at Marris College in Lucknow and became skilled in classical music. Roshan composed music for many Hindi films, with “Jo Wada Kiya Woh Nibhana Padega” from the movie Taj Mahal (1963) being one of his well-known songs. He passed away on November 16, 1967, in Bombay (now Mumbai).
