Krishnakumar Kunnath, popularly known as KK, was born on August 23, 1968, and had a remarkable career in playback singing across multiple Indian languages until his passing on May 31, 2022. KK’s journey began with singing jingles, leading to his Bollywood debut in 1996 with an A.R. Rahman soundtrack. His most popular album “Pal” in 1999 included hits like “Yaaron” and “Pal,” resonating widely. Among his notable songs are “Tadap Tadap Ke Is Dil Se” from Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam, “Khuda Jaane” from Bachna Ae Haseeno, and “Aankhon Mein Teri” from Om Shanti Om. KK won the Screen Award for Best Playback Singer – Male for “Khuda Jaane”.
