Sudesh Bhosale, born on July 1, 1960, in Mumbai, Maharashtra, has carved a significant niche for himself in the Indian music industry as a playback singer renowned for his ability to mimic legendary actor Amitabh Bachchan. His musical journey began with a big break in the film “Zalzala” in 1988, where he showcased his singing prowess and mimicry skills. Sudesh gained widespread recognition with the hit song “Jumma Chumma De De” from the movie “Hum” (1991), which became a sensational chartbuster. His other notable works include songs like “Pee Le Pee Le Oh More Raja” from “Tiranga” (1993), and “O Lal Dupatte Wali” from “Aankhen” (1993), which remain popular to this day. Throughout his illustrious career, Sudesh Bhosale has contributed to over 150 films across Hindi and Marathi languages. Not just limited to playback singing, he has also been a judge and producer for the TV show “K for Kishore” on Sony Entertainment Television, celebrating the legacy of Kishore Kumar. His contributions to the music industry were recognized with the prestigious Mother Teresa Millennium Award in 2008.
